Finally got a new car!

Finally did it - bought a new car to replace my old 2005 Tucson....a 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited! Picking it up this tuesday.
Comes loaded like all Hyundais but adds a few nice goodies in the *Limited trim:
148hp 16v 1.8L with 2-step variable induction system and dual continuously VVT
17" Alloy Wheels (P215/45R17)*
4 wheel discs/ESC/ETC/EBD/ABS
6 speed auto with Shiftronic*
Steering wheel mounted controls
Sunroof*
Heated front and rear seats*
Foglights*
Auto-dimming mirror with Homelink*
Automatic Light Control*
Sliding Armrest*
Dual zone auto climate control*
Leather seats, wheel, shift knob*
Mirror-mounted turn signals*
Driver's auto up and down window with pinch control*
Tinted Glass
Bluetooth

Has a huge trunk, is a real gas-sipper and looks like a million bucks - I'm pretty happy of my purchase
Apologies for the quality of some of the pics, in a rush to get home and the car was dirty too. Like that colour, easy to keep looking clean.

Yeah, we looked at it but it lacked a few useful features that the old one had including the front passenger seat not folding forward flat anymore, which was great for hauling long stuff. So we gave up the idea of buying a vehicle for that reason, we have friends with vans who are more than willing to help us carry certain things when we need it. We were basically weighing the pros and cons of a hauler vs a gas sipper and the gas sipper won. It does have a large trunk pass-through space though, enough even for a bicycle.
We are getting older and we are really looking for as many creature comforts possible as well, the Tucson trim level we could afford just didn't have enough stuff whereas the Elantra limited with all the bells and whistles was in our ballpark. Also looking forward to saving lots on gas as it keeps on going up.  ;D

Excellent - congrats!  I took a real long look at one before getting my Sonata - it's a very nice overall package, particularly in Limited trim.  Enjoy!

Fantastic choice, what a great little car.  It's amazing how many features can come on compacts today.  I mean heated rear seats?  Awesome!!!

I wish more cars came equipped with mirror mounted blinkers. That would help ppl to not change into the same highway lane side-by-side.
