I love the Panamera's looks. Crucify me for this if you will, but I think it's better looking than the 911.

I'm thinking a public stoning is more appropriate  :popo:

The 977 is perhaps the best Porsche ever produced.

Personally I like the car and don't mind the looks but if you have the $ to shell out 100K surely you'd be able to find another 15 or 20 to get the V8?

At least in the big cities, old Porsches are very cool, new Porsches are very douche bagy.  :)

You're not alone. There is one (that I know of) in my neighbourhood and I often see it parked right across from my house (the owner's relatives live across from me). It's different, alright, but I like it!

I think that makes 4 of us on the forum.  Take a puff and pass it along!

This is true. Any late 30s / early 40s greaseball banker/lawyer/consultant can drag his ass into a dealership and buy a new 997. But it takes taste and class to find and purchase that 993 C2S.
Everything in life is relative.

Singers are some of the most beautiful 911's I've seen.

Performance-wise, comfort-wise, etc, the 997s are a better car, but buying the 993 was a matter of choice, not money. I could give lots of other reasons, but they wouldn't go over well here.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.
