Topic: fitting 2005 taurus rims on 2011 fusion

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if I could mount winter tires for my 2011 Ford Fusion on the rims from my 2005 Ford Taurus.
I sold my Taurus with the winter tires and steel wheels last spring to a kid who was planning to put on aftermarket rims, so he said he didn't need the stock ones. I want to put winter tires on them for my new Fusion so I can have rims instead of steelies and hubcaps.
The Taurus rims are 16" while the Fusion has 17"s, so I'm planning to just get fatter tires.
The bolt pattern looks to be the same, and they seem like they will fit just by looking, but i'm not sure if there are any specifications that need to be the same. I'm just asking you guys if they will fit based on your experience, what you've heard, etc... or if there's any specifications I should look for to see if they will fit.

I don't have experience but I think you want to check that the 16s will clear the brakes.

Not the same bolt pattern. Taurus is 5x108. Fusion is 5x114.
