OUCH!!!

Hope they find one.  The power steering pump calved recently on the Forester, and I was lucky to find a rebuilt unit for $69.  Sixty-nine bucks?  Since when is ANY part on a car $69?

$321 for a hose?  Talk about getting hosed...
No place I'd rather be...

They found a used hose for half the price.  Getting it installed tomorrow morning - my appointment is at 8 AM.  My choice, because I have no ride or shuttle, so I will be facking the dog for two hours - but only dinging my employer for one hour and a bit.  Luckily, tomorrow's weather promises great morning light and good temps, and they're on Lakeshore Road, so... I'm bringing my camera and will make good use of my wait time at the perfect time of day to be taking pics.  There's a great cemetery in that area, too.

Snap a pic of the hose, would you?  I need to see what a $321 hose looks like!!   ;D

It's over three feet long, rubber and metal and all bendy to fit through the engine compartment.  Here's the trashed one.
