Topic: Aftermarket Heated Seats

A feature that I really enjoy in the dead of an Ottawa winter is heated seats.   There's a good chance that our next car won't have them.

I've looked around and found a few shops that will install aftermarket heated seats.   I've talked to one shop and the cost per seat is around $300.  Not a bad deal, IMO.  Particularly since it comes with a 5 year warranty.   These came with bottom and back heaters with two temperature settings.  I doubt I would go for a cheaper heater as that seems to be asking for trouble.

Does anyone have any experience with these?  I assume all is well if one goes for a quality product and an installer with a good reputation.

Still, I think I'd prefer something under the seat covers with a switch that loose OEM.

I put aftermarket heaters in my Contour SVT. They worked weill and is really simple to do. Remove seat cover/install heat elements/run wiring.

Leather without heat doesn't work in Canada.
