Indeed... it's just an artist going off of the latest spy photo. That said at least some of that is proportionally correct as it looks to be based very soundly off of what the spy photos show. Still think this might be a really good looking sedan. Keeping a close eye on this one!

Ford needs to hire that artist.

I have a hard time believing those images are anywhere close. Why would Ford graft on a Mitsu front end?  ::)

I see Aston in there too, with a bit of Mustang GT mixed in
I like it, lots.

it would be interesting to see the 2013 Fusion and the 2013 Mondeo side by side.   I wonder if they will be very similar but the Fusion will be wider for Americans  and a little longer for more rear seat leg room. Difficult to make it just one car when most of the panels would have to be different.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

The current Mondeo is larger  then the N.A. Fusion, but I would assume the next Fusion/Mondeo will be the same size based on the
new Focus dimensions being the same.

Interesting. I serious;y would have thought a UK spec Mondeo would be narrower than a US Fusion.  Hopefully then they will be the same car in 2013.  Even more hopefully the new CAFE regs here will permit Ford to try a diesel as well. I have heard that the diesel Mondeo in the Uk is a great car.

If I remember right... the last quote I read from Ford indicated that they were continuing with the "One Ford" philosophy for the Fusion/Mondeo. I suspect the Mondeo might get some fancier toys at the high end than the American Fusion with some of the technology split off to the Lincoln MKX.

That looks pretty darn solid. Hopefully with an interior to match.

There is a decent shot that my wife's company car (coming in a little over 12 months is the current plan) would be a Ford. Looking up.

Looks like it hasn't grown that much, which, IMHO is excellent!

From what little I can see, I MUCH prefer the concept rendering posted earlier in this thread.  But I'll wait to see the full pics.

Concepts always look cooler because they don't have to actually work in reality :) Doubly so when it's commissioned by an automotive news site or magazine.

True enough - but this one wasn't extremely "out there" in terms of function being obviously compromised.

Hopefully it still comes in manual next year. Ford seems to also like posting a low base price like Kia.
