Toyo Gsi-5 or Hankook Ipike rw11 winters
« on: September 25, 2011, 09:27:49 am »
Time has come for my Venza to get it's first winter and it's first winter tires.
Having a small car before and moving to a crossover the price difference in getting winters now is pretty high, so while wanting to get decent winter tires I'm still a bit schocked how much I have to spend :)

Previusly I had Hankook Ipikes on my Yaris and they were good, and I thought that I would get them for the venza aswell, however this time the car will be driven by my wife mostly in Toronto, probably 80% city 20% highway, and I want to make sure that I get good tires for herfor her first winter driving :)
Here are the options, but the GSI-5 are new tires with no reviews :(

4 x 17” Steel Wheels
Hankook RW11 iPike - $1,040.00
Toyo Open Country GSi-5 - $1,240.00

I'm suprised to see Toyo G02 ranked lower thank Ipikes.
However the new GSI-5 are not there as they are new tires.
