I just called our local dealership and was able to speak with the shop foreman.  I described to him the issue and he agreed that it's probably a stuck caliper.  When I told him that the vehicle is only 9 months old he said it would be covered under warranty no question about it.  Phew!  :)   It's going in to get fixed tomorrow.

On a side note, I asked my wife how long she's been hearing the grinding noise.  She said for over a month now.  Sigh!  LOL

Glad to hear it is covered.   You probably should drive her car more often.  :)

Not sure about Ford, but Chev warranties incidentals like wipers, tires, and even brakes for the first 20K km.

So today, my wife had to go out for an errand.  I had to go out into the garage and get something and noticed a fluid leak on my garage floor.  When the wifey got home I got the Edge up on ramps and got underneath.  The leak is coming from the transfer case.  A bad seal perhaps?  Looks like it's back to the dealership I go.   ::)

LOL, true enough.......although I'm only 12 months in and this will be my 4th trip to the dealer for warranty work.  I still have time to catch up to your dealer visits with the SRX.   ;D

Hopefully you don't ever catch up!

My SRX was actually pretty good for the first three years or so ...it was after that that the wheels starting coming off! ;)
