There was a full service station in Guelph until last year... I drove in once and started filling my car and was told it was full service.

I tend to fill up my own at the full serve stations as well. Only time I might let them do it is in the freezing dead of winter.

Funny, we owned TDI's for around two years and the smell wasn't a problem for us. A little purrel did the trick. The smell wouldn't even be a consideration if we ever thought of going with a diesel vehicle again.

Real Canadian Superstore (Loblaws) has 6 lanes of self serve and two lanes of full serve. There is a diesel pump on the full serve lane.

They charge 1 cent/liter extra for full serve.

If there's a lineup for self serve and none for full serve I'll go there.

My last car had the filler door on the right and I could usually just drive up to the pump. Now it's on the left where the lineups are.

^^I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a full service gas station.

this is pure hearsay.  I believe New Jersey only has full service stations... they don't allow self serve.

There was a full service station in Guelph until last year... I drove in once and started filling my car and was told it was full service.

Norm's Esso in the downtown area is full serve.  I think it is actually the cheapest place in town to get premium - they charge .10 over regular, everywhere else is .14-.15
The have a diesel too

I think the old Co-op (can't recall what it is now) on Hwy 24 towards Cambridge has 1/2 self & 1/2 full pumps

i carry both wet wipes, hand sanitizers AND disposable medical gloves..  and i'm not a medical professional.    ::)  just a clean car freak.

Why hand sanitizers?  People seem to be so scared of bacteria these days.  If it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger.

Lucien Bouchard may disagree with you.

I was just making the point that it is just as silly to believe all bacteria are good as it is to believe they are all bad.

I kept some gloves in a large zip-lock in the trunk of our MB diesel, and that worked well. The missus hated fueling the car, so I did it 99% of the time. Luckily the car usually went over 800km on a tank even in all city driving. The long range was one of the the things I liked best about the car.
No place I'd rather be...

That is true, but they do not wash your windows or check your oil

Maybe even a box of disposable gloves at the pumps ?

They have those...in Europe.

It usually takes us some time to catch up to whats happening in the US or Europe. Patience!
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.
