5.7L V12.

or 3.2 I6 in mine.  (best engine i've ever had so far.) or 4.5L V10 in LFA sounds pretty good as well.

oh...  if it's from the list,...  uh.....  I4 with turbo?

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

A chipped ecoboost 4 will pull better than a V6 throughout the RPM range. I drove a Fusion V6 when the GTI was in the bodyshop, felt slow as :censor: until you hit 5k.

I recently test drove a 07' Fusion SEL with the 3.0L. It felt fine and torquey...but I drive a Honda so that doesn't say much. ;D

EcoBoost V6.

Or the regular V6 depending on the EcoBoost up charge.

Wouldn't take a boosted 4 in a vehicle that large and heavy, and certainly wouldn't if it costs more for it.

The old 3L.

I would've expected a 3L V6 to move a little better. :)

Smooth sure but no pull until you floored it. A turbo 4 would pull better at low RPMs.
