Someone in Alberta....perhaps who likes collecting/buying/selling oddball cars needs to grab this!  I love how the ad states "Don't ask about the flux capacitor"

Before you buy, take the opportunity to watch the recent episode of The Car Show in which a Delorean drag raced a Toyota Sienna...and lost...badly.

an automatic too. These would a $10K all day long without the Back to the Future movie connection.

Most classic cars would lose badly in a drag race to a modern minivan. That isn't the point of owning a classic car.

I suspect that depends on the classic car.  It certainly puts into context the debate between late model and classic.

A Ferrari 308 loses to most minivans today in a drag race.  Cars are quick quick today.

I'm going to buy this, go back in time, and correct all the mistakes I've made in the past.  Then I'm sure I'll be well ahead of the 30K I'd have spent on the car.  Who else is in?
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

DeLorean's (and John DeLorean himself) are curious things, it's an almost surreal read about a guy who managed to extract $200 million from the UK government's to build about 10,000 cars and how he was eventually brought up on trafficking charges.

OK back to the story here, the guy selling this thing for $30k is smoking something fierce if he thinks he will get that coin for it. I'd say $10k on the outside, it had better be nice and the new owner better pray that nothing breaks.

That car is made mostly from unobtainium. Even the dastardly PRV motor that lives under the hood is an exercise in futility. Most late 70's/early 80's Volvo's that contained that motor have either long rotted away or have had them replaced by far more durable & workable 4 cyl motors.

As far as other comments about acceleration, I'd say DMC-12's are far from par in every respect. I repeat, a curious buy if anything. Will turn heads.
Richard - that's my opinion and I stand by it.
