I wonder, are the current LS's as well built as yours?
Could be. I've met a few owners of "later" ones (say 99-02) that have outrageous mileages and look/feel brand new. One of my neighbours has a 2001 that you would swear just rolled off the showroom floor, but it's a year-round daily driver.
My brother in law bought a 1999 LS 300 and the leather seats are like brand new, no cracks, no sags, just great quality. No rust, original paint. When he saw it and saw the low kilometers, and knowing how reliable the older Lexus cars, he took it to his mechanic to check out and went back and said sold.
Great find Rrocket, can't believe its a 1990. I got kind of laugh (I know it was emotional for her) out of the part where you said she started to cry a bit as it reminded me of an Andy Grifftih show, where Barney Fife bougth a car from a lady who cried and he to said are you aure you want to sell it and it turned out to be a complete lemon. you got a fantastic deal. I think the $5000 was asking too much, and the $1500 was A GREAT DEAL, NO NEED TO FEEL GUILTY
