I decided that the best bet now is to go to court myself, hopefully get it down to 10 over and no points and again hope for the best with insurance. This is what I'll do. The other trick is too much for me (I've heard of it).
As I mentioned before, my insurance for one of the cars just went up 15% from 6 months ago with 11+ years of whistle clean driving record. I'm not under 25 either and I don't drive expensive/sport cars and they are only getting older.
Although it's lot of money, it doesn't significantly affect my monthly budget, but I'd rather spend that money on something else (I'm up to $450/month now with 2 cars and the house). The other thing that bothers me is that it has been going up every 3 month in the past 2 years or so every time an insurance renewal comes along (the renewal for the 2 cars and the house are about 3 months apart of each other).
The insurance companies are the ones putting pressure on the courts not the people desperately trying to protect themselves from these thugs, but that's a different story (rant).
