Hankook Winter Tires
« on: August 22, 2011, 10:41:23 am »
Last Fall when I had my Tires changed over for Winter driving, my local Garage installed my Tires as usual, I had purchased them the year before along with four Steel wheels, well they caused a vibration that my Garage could not Fix, I ended up buying a new set of Tires(Firestone) to replace the Hankook ones, I finally got a partial refund after contacting Hankook direct, I never found out the reason for this problem, but I sure won't purchase Hankook Tires in future.

My vehicle is a 2008 RAV4 4cyl.

Funny.  My dad bought a set of Firestone tires that the shop had a hard time balancing.  He said he'll never buy Firestone's again...

Just sayin'.

No doubt.  Once they were balanced dad's Firestones were smooth too.

I was hoping to point out the ridiculousness of the original post.

Hankook Ice Bear snow tires on the Jetta for 5 years, we are happy with them and no problems at all. Mind you the Michelin X-Ice Xi2's I had on my ex-Audi are better tires, IMHO.

Three sets of Hankooks in my past.

Hankook W400 winters on the PAssat. Seemed decent, no quality issues
Hankook W300 Icebears 235/45-17 Volvo V70R. Good performance but multiple balance issues. Seemed to go out of balance.
Hankook V4ES High perf. All season. Again they were ok but they had balance issues. It took three trys from new to get a vibration free ride. After that one-two tires a season need attention.

I started to think the problem was the Volvo but the Pirelli Rossos and the Michelin Pilot A/S didn't exhibit the balance issues of the Hankooks.

Where to buy a pair of Gucci shoes? Where does the cheapest Gucci shoes, which we are more concerned about things. In the online store to buy Gucci Gucci products is a good idea, wholesale Gucci store on the Internet, more styles, a wide variety of Gucci products, gucci belt, Gucci wallets, there a variety of products, this is a good thing.

Bought a set of Hankooks for my Juke, shake shake baby shake.  Took them off after a few weeks, full refund from my Nissan dealer, got Toyos...happy!  Lesson learned about trying to save some money ;)

I had Icebear 300 on my 330xi for 3 years with no problems at all ( 205-50/17)  They worked very well on that car in TO and Guelph.

I have a set of RC01's on the Mazda.  They're better balanced than the pos Cooper as' that came with the car, there's no vibrations at all.  They're a little loud on dry pavement.  I was impressed with the traction in the 1 snowfall we've had so far.  Maybe 1 day we'll get some snow and I can try them a little more...
