The "New GM"

Interesting situation.....so much for the "New GM" standing behind their past products. ( I had wondered when this issue would come up)

Well that's just one of the "side" benefits of the government allowing a company to go through bankruptcy the way GM did. Basically allowing them a clean slate in terms of debts liability all at the expense of taxpayers, shareholders and GM vehicle owners.

The cost of the bailout is still coming to light.

What are "rear spindle rods"? Are they like a flux capacitor or blinker fluid? Sounds eerily similar to the Johnson Rod.

The whole catalog page with the Johnson Rod looks as if it should have been added on April1 2006.

I like the Piston return spring.

New shareholders, no? Thus, new company. Liability is limited to whatever was agreed upon (+/- any vagaries) at the time of takeover and (re-)incorporation.

C'est la vie. In a way, Impala owners should be thankful that there is any semblance of warranty service at all.

Well if the suit is not legit, they should just say so instead of old gm vs new gm.  Customers don't see the difference, and will hold old/new GM to a higher standard of conduct anyway.

But isn't it not legit because of old gm vs new gm to begin with?
