Nissan Sentra Takes Down Viper, Vette, Mustang, S2K, etc
« on: August 12, 2011, 08:31:38 pm »
A friend of mine from Alabama sent me this.  No doubt the owners of the Viper, Vette, etc were a little surprised.  Gotta love Nissan's VQ35!!   ;D

I'm assuming this is now a RWD Sentra?

Pretty good showing against some high performance stuff.

haha, that's pretty good fun watching that.
love the engine screaming .

it sounded pretty smooth, where as i heard that vq37 is pretty rough sounding high in rpm range.

According to my friend in Alabama it's still FWD.

How could the VQ run a car FWD?  Would be pretty hard.... But I guess possible if you really wanted to.

Sant to really go fast?  Racecar is key, make it light and GO!  Faster than buying expensive car always.

The VQ runs in a number of other FWD cars.   ???   Altima, Maxima, Quest, etc.

LOL, I hear ya on being tired.   ;)     To answer your question though, a VQ35DE or VQ35HR as an example are the same in each car, just tuned differently.  Pretty impressive for a little Sentra though eh?

Well not really, put big engine in a car that weights nothing.  I bet that sentry cost him $60-$80k!

I'd be really impressed if that was a $15k car ;)

No idea what mods were done to the Sentra nor how much it cost but a lowly FWD Sentra taking down some badazz cars was pretty entertaining.   ;D

car weighs 2750lbs, (1250kg). It's still FWD. You could build a copy of the car for $10,000-12,000 usd if you did all the work yourself.

2750lbs?  WTF?  That's heavy, is it because of the engine?  I'd expect a Sentra to be down to 2200 when stripped.  I'd be very surprised at $10k even doing all the work oneself.  It's not cheap building a car.  Heck a cage is like $5k
