I'm on my way to work, and I come up to this intersection in the shape of a "T". There is no stop light, just a stop sign. There is a bike path that crosses directly in front of me. There are wooden "Stop" signs/posts on either side of the bike path where it crosses the road. I see a guy on a bike coming. Traffic clears, we make eye contact so I start making my turn. He blows through his stop sign, I jam on the brakes. He does the same and stops inches away from my car. He immediately starts yelling at me, calling me every name in the book. Not a big deal..I work in a shop and hear salty language all day.
He presses the issue and continues to berate me. I get out of my car rather annoyed and say "Listen a$$hole, you're the one who ran the stop sign, not me". He looks completely shocked and says "WTF are YOU talking about?" I point to the bright red posts with large reflective silver letters that say "STOP". We rides over, looks at the sign. Then he says "Well you should be careful" and rides away.

Oh..and he didn't have a helmet on.
Is it possible that because there is a bike path that some cyclists pay LESS attention and think they are safer or immune from traffic laws? I was shocked he didn't see his stop sign. They are at every intersection along the bike path. There must be at least a dozen of them!!
