^^ Holy crapoly, dig the negative camber on those rear wheels!  ??? What did they do, install swing-arms from a '61 Corvair on that thing? Those ridiculous rubber-band tires aren't tasteful, but at least they are useless.... ::)

I'll take the OP's car over this 'tastefully modded' one any day. Very nice.

Gotta agree here. I'd take the car in TacoTaco's driveway over that wreck any day. That slammed look just spoils it.

Now, lower it a little bit, maybe some tint, put the winter tires on the stock wheels and invest in some nice aftermarket rims... that's a tasteful modification. Not that the Genesis needs it - it's already a great looking car bone stock. :) Looks AWESOME in white.

Congrats! I've seen a few of these in white, they look really sharp.

Hey guys, sorry that I didn't reply right away to some of your questions but I was too busy driving the car!!

Jaeger -- yes I bought the car from Hyundai Oakville

As for first driving impressions. The car is a joy to drive specially coming from a 13 year old Suzuki. There is enough power to put smile on my face every time. I have grown fond of highway on ramps! specially the short ones.
The best thing about this car in my opinion is the steering. Very sharp and direct, there is also very little body roll. Again, do not forget I'm comparing it to my previous vehicle.
On the not so good side there is the issue with the rev hang. It doesn't bother me that much but it is hard to drive it smooth specially the shift from 1st to second. The RPMs just stays up there! Do keep in mind that this is also my first manual car and I've been driving manual for about 2 weeks only.

As for future plans. I'm already putting money aside for winter rubber and dedicated rims (downsizing to 17s form 18s). Next will be the tint and maybe after an intake. I'm a little hesitant to start modifying the car so soon. I at least want to wait for the new car smell to go away.

cheers

Glad you're having fun with it - I'm sure you'll find that you're driving it more smoothly as you get more used to it.

Compared to a 13 year old Suzuki I would reckon the GC is like automotive nirvana.

Looks amazing!

I cross-shopped this car when picking up the MX-5.  The rev-hang thing spoiled it for me.  Otherwise, the car is fantastic, excellent value, and has awesome sounding stock exhaust note.

White is the right colour for this car as well.
