I am still trying to get my head around no dipstick, run flat tires, 24,000kms between oil changes, no tire rotation, no jack and everything else. But I love the car.

Congrats! Looks just like mine but with premium package.
Man, I gotta tell you, after ~3,500km I've put on this beast, it puts a bigger smile on my face than day one e-v-e-r-y time. It was a bit stiff here and there when new but now that it's mostly broken in, it is one smooth ride. I was originally "concerned" it "only" has 230HP but the power delivery from the I6 is something special and it loves to rev.

No dipstick - no issue.
Run flats - oh well, they've been around for a while and if they were really bad, premium manufacturers wouldn't be using them.
24,000km between oil changes - no issue for me. I don't drive hard (just sometimes :shuffle:) so every year or 15-20,000km is no issue on synthetic oil. European Peugeot required service interval was 30,000km 10 years ago in Eastern Europe with less than ideal roads and fuel quality. If you drive hard and/or want to keep the car long term then change the oil twice a year, just make sure you use the right lubricant.

Congratulations again and happy motoring!

I guess it gets changed every 12 months regardless of Kms.

I do not drive hard either. But I do a lot of stop and go trips and do a lot of short drives around town. We run 2 cars so we usually put only about 12,000kms a year on our favorite one. But this car is so special we might end up driving more than that. We also might end up driving to Florida each winter. That right there will be a good 6,000 kms extra.

I told the BMW service rep I was uncomfortable with the oil change interval. He assured me it is OK. He said even customers who have extended warranties of 7yrs / 200,000 kms are following same schedule. He said BMW would not risk having a warranty for so long and not have proper servicing.

I guess the fact that the car holds more oil is also a factor in extending the interval.

Living my BMW dream.

Very nice - congrats.

If you do get winters and want to change the tires yourself, if you get a floor jack, you might want to get a jack pad adapter to avoid damaging the jack pads:

Also, you may need to get a low-profile jack (you definitely need one for the sport suspension).

I do want one of these jack pad adapters. Cannot seem to find one on a Cdn website. The shipping from USA double the price. I wonder if any auto parts store carries them? I have more concerns about jacking the car. I will post that in Technical questions.
