Glad to hear divorce averted.

My Honda rattles. My fix is to turn up the stereo. 

I had an intermittent wind whistle on my Bugs driver side mirror.  It was fixed while the car was in for an oil change.  I didn't mention the wind noise to the service advisor.  They told me they did that because of a TSB when I went to pick up the car.  I didn't authorize that no-charge fix beforehand...

My 2008 TL... NO RATTLES.  I think the front windows were not mounted properly.  They almost clink when they're open half way and I go on a rough road.  If I really loved the car I'd have taken it in by now but since I'm neutral on it I'm waiting for it's first service.

There's something in the front dash that's rattling to.  It's one of those really annoying higher pitched constant squeaky/rattlish/grate on your nerves kind. 

Oh I forgot to mention.  The leather is nicer in the 12 then the previous gens.

So I still have the car and we are working through things.  It hasn't been to bad.  I don't give up easy.  Divorce averted!

Update on car:  I'm not sure I like it.  The rear doors still sound tinny, there are rattles here and there (When it goes in for first oil change I'll get them to look at... the windows seem to rattle). 

I HATE the info/navi system.  It's awkward and counter intuitive.  The rear defrost isn't as powerful as the previous generation. The fabric on the headliner and head rests and pillars gets dirty very quickly.  The trunk compartment/hinges were cheaped out on.

I LOVE the handling and acceleration.  Good road feel.  I LOVE the sound system.  The seats are comfortable.  Also the interior doesn't steam up as easily as the previous generation.... I guess better air flow inside?  The back up camera's added guide lines make parking much easier. 

I'm waiting for the ILX to hit the showroom and I'll make a decision from there.

While driving home I finally have had it with the last, worst, most annoying rattle in the TSX. Can't stand it. Might put me off Acuras forever which would be a shame given there's a lot going for them (IMHO).

Is there a car that doesn't rattle? People say that they have rattle free cars but I've never been in one... I suspect these people who say they have rattle free cars don't have ears as sensitive as mine or they just tune it out

Still the loud ones are annoying. With my Corolla I had to get two C pillars fixed and ultimately replace the rear windshield before the most annoying rattles went away.

My 2000 Acura TL was as tight as a drum even at ten years of age and 300,000 km. It is the best car I have ever owned in my opinion. The 2008 has a creaking noise now and again which may be leather sounds but is still quite solid.

It did have an accident.  Regardless, I drove a 2012 TSX (non leather) for a week and I was ultra impressed.  Very tight.  Much quieter than the previous GEN.  Different car really.  Perfect size.  Highly recommend.

I think its actually the first rattle I ever got with the car. The glovebox. Have to keep pressure on it to eliminate the noise. Pretty annoying.

I have sat in the new TSX and TL and was pretty impressed by both. Interior has been substantially upgraded.

On my last service on the TL 2 weeks ago I got a 2012 TSX as a loaner. I agree with you, very tight. Really liked the handling and steering, more controlled, more direct than my 08 TL. Perfect size for my needs. Certainly an option to consider when my lease is up.
