As the subject says, better late than never. As we all know, threads in this section are worthless without pics so I had to wait until I finally remembered to take some pics after washing the car.
Backing up, you may remember some posts from me last year discussing various options for my next car. AWD, manual trans, fun to drive being the main criteria. Well, in December I made up my mind and placed a factory order with Audi for a 2011 S4, optioned as follows:
- manual trans
- deep sea blue pearl paint
- brown & black silk nappa interior
- sports diff
- adaptive headlights
- Audicare (4yr / 80k maintenaince package)
It finally arrived in early April so I've now been driving it for about 3 months and have ~ 7,000km on it. Mainly commuting and a couple of highway trips and it's a blast to drive. I've "played" with the sports diff a bit - can certainly feel the difference in the steering assist and the throttle mapping. The effect on the diff itself (the main reason for it) is harder to judge to me, which probably means I'm not driving hard / fast enough

Love the colour combination, I don't think the brown seats are available any longer so it should remain pretty rare. Longest drive so far is ~ 4hrs and felt completely comfortable / relaxed at the end of it.
Fuel economy is pretty good in my opinion, considering the 330+ BHP and AWD: a low of ~ 10.5l/100km in the first couple of tanks, steadily improving to ~ 9.5 after 5,000km. Best so far was on the road trip to Toronto with 9.1 @120kph with the AC on the whole time. All figures are based on litres in and km's driven, not the computer (although it's pretty accurate, showing a lifetime avg of 9.4 vs my measured value of 9.6).
Absolutely no problems / issues with it so far (as you would hope / expect). Love the SD card reader - $50 for a 32GB card and I've thousands of songs available the whole time. All the "little things" seems right, which I guess is what you pay for - the clutch / shifter feel, engine sound, fact you can have the sunroof wide open at 120km and talk normally, even use the Bluetooth phone system with no issues.
Hope I'll have this for a long time ...
Pics aren't the greatest, but all I had time for after the wash...
Cheers all...
