I see some from the new Sportage and from some Volvo's in there... Not terribly original...

If it's real, it looks better than the current generation, at least from behind. It looks like it will keep its utility benefits (good cargo space).

I guess Honda going more Crossover look. That was the first to use that design.

Probably an optical illusion but the wheels on the one pictured above ( red one) look too big compared to the one in Left lane news ( blue one)  I know it is the fashion for big wheels but one would think that ANY vehicle that claims to be drivable on a rough road , let alone off-road, needs smaller rims and bigger sidewalls on the tires.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Not a bad looking Honda for a change. This is still a "concep" so the big wheels will go away most likely (nice design though).
I hope they kept or improved the interior/cargo versatility and gave it a proper floor center console and parking brake so it doesn't look like a minivan inside.

That's nice looking!  Hopefully it's coming with a bump in power too.  The 190hp version of the 2.4l from the Accord would work quite well in it.

quote from Autoweek - Aug 16th

CR-V: The redesigned Civic-based compact, delayed slightly by the Japan earthquake, will arrive in November. The new styling includes a canted back end like that of a Volvo XC60. While rumors fly that the longer body means third-row jump seats, the U.S. version will just have more cargo room behind the five-seat passenger area. The 201-hp 2.4-liter engine comes from the Acura TSX wagon and Civic Si. A hybrid version may be offered as well, but no V6.

Finally, a bit more power in the CR-V! Now, let's see if Honda can keep the prices reasonable.

With the yen sitting at a non-profitable exchange rate I would assume higher prices in North America

WTF?  A good looking Honda product?
Lets hope that's what actually shows up at the dealer lots.  Always thought the TSX engine would be about perfect in the CR-V

I wonder if they'll finally add a 6th speed to their automatic transmission, or if the old 5 speed will be kept...

A slightly bigger and better looking CR-V, with the TSX's excellent engine... that's starting to be a really interesting proposition! I'll have to add the new CR-V to my list of potential replacements for the Sportage. But we've got time, we're hoping to get another 3 or 4 years out of it. *touches wood*

Wow, that looks fantastic!  Did they hire a new head designer at Honda??   ???  Easily the best looking Honda in quite some time!!  Kinda looks a little Sportage-ish to me, which isn't a bad thing.

Yep, I see a lot of the new Sportage in there in the overall shape, some Crosstour in the grille and headlights, and Volvo in the tailights. Very nice looking vehicle overall.

Now, let's see if the traditional Korean haters start bashing Honda for stealing design cues from other makers like they've been doing when Hyundai or Kia came out with some of their designs in recent years.

Well, they were more than due to turn out something attractive - which they sure did here.

I've seen those kinds of pictures before. The always make the car look horrible even if it is actually a good looking car. I'll reserve judgement until we get the actual photos of the thing sitting somewhere.
