2008 MX-5!
« on: July 06, 2011, 10:57:51 am »
MX-5 was my first used-car purchase, and it went very smooth.

This is my first convertible car, and i must say that i'm quite happy with the purchase.

If this little car proves to be as reliable as our Corolla, then i'd consider this to be the perfect car given my current needs.

Enjoy the pictures!

Congrats on the MX-5 Miata!

If you're seeing the same type of weather we're enjoying, that'd be hella fun to bomb around with the top down.

Great buy on the MX-5 Miata!

Great car, and I don't think you'll regret the cloth seats in a cab.  Goodness, getting into this from a Corolla must have you on road feel over-load.

You'll now feel like lots of other cars steer and shift terribly.
If it flies, floats or f#%&s...rent it.

Very cool!

I had a 1990 for 7 years.  I put almost 100,000km's on it while I had it.  It never so much as had 1 misfire.  It was the longest I've ever kept a car.  It's also the only car I regret selling.

Enjoy!!!

Awesome MX-5!!  Congrats!!  I've loved these cars since I first saw one in 1990.  Looked "Space Age" compared to the cars of the day.

Congrats!  My dad had a '97 Miata that was an absolute blast.  No terribly fast but so much fun.

So how long until you put some lowering springs on it?  IMO, that's the only mod the new MX-5's really need.

They are such appealing cars . I was considering one with the PRHT but opted to not go for folding roofs in the end. I'm sure you will find it a fantastic step up from a Corolla.

Nice galaxy grey MX-5. It will put a smile on your face everytime you go into a turn.
I was one who put on lowering springs and larger sway bars. It takes away that 4X4 look as well.

Nice!  My 92 Miata was the most fun to drive car I've owned.

Brilliant car and a great buy, probably the most fun-per-dollar out there. Just make sure to Krown it if you plan on using it year-round!

A friend who laps his car at Mosport was telling me about a guy who shoehorned a Chevy small block into an earlier version of this car, the one with the pop-up headlights. Apparently there's a full kit you can get for it. So what is that, like an MX-8???

Oh yeah!  I've been looking for reasons to drive around, to take full advantage of beautiful Vancouver weather.

Great buy on the MX-5 Miata!

You'll now feel like lots of other cars steer and shift terribly.

I did have an '08 Civic Si; i do have some experience driving sporty cars.  But nothing like MX-5...

Congratulations! You Sir are an enthusiast!

I'm gonna hold off on that until next summer.  The car handles very good as it is!

My plan is to purchase some decent winter tires or see if i can use my Civic's 205/55/16 to save on some cost.

Thanks to all the others for their best wishes!  Time to perhaps go for a quick spin, before it gets dark!  Au revoir!
