Brakes creak when I press the pedal - any ideas?
« on: July 04, 2011, 07:48:14 am »
My front brakes started creaking quite ominously when I step on the pedal. I assume they don't just need new pads? Maybe something is sticking? I'll have to get them looked at but I was just curious to know if anyone had any ideas. This is my 2005 Five Hundred SEL, about 63k on the clock. Thanks

It's possible that a rivet from the brake pad is rubbing into the rotor, or that an entire portion of the pad material itself has fallen off.

But it is possible the wear indicator on the pads are just particularly loud.
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....
