Bird Bombs
« on: June 27, 2011, 08:24:47 pm »
Came outside this afternoon to a nice surprise on my S2000.  I don't think it was a bird that did this, more like a freakin' pterodactyl!!!   ::)

I wiped it off with Poorboys Spray & Wipe and an MF towel, but there was still a large part that was etched into the paint.  I got out the clay bar and used that but it was still etched into the paint.  I actually had to remove it by getting out my Flex and a light abrasive polish.  Any time you get bird bombs on your paint, definitely remove them immediately.

I don't think geese poop in flight.  Geese poop is usually greenish.   Could be a seagull or robin.   I had same type of splatter on my silver Honda.  I haven't noticed any etching in the paint after a few days.

Probably a bird of sorts - that still sucks though!

I had some bird droppings on my car that sat for a couple weeks and it looks like they've etched the paint... looks like its time for some wetsanding  ::)

Came back to my car yesterday at the TTC, you would've thought I parked at Pearl Harbour! I wondered how long that was baking on my paint. It didn't etch into the paint though. I took it to a car wash. Once that stuff hits your car, heats up and cools down it'll do some damage. Thank goodness for wax.
