Erik/CanuckG35 thanks for the links.  I looked at TireRack, but it gave me a huge list so I came here to help me filter it and to confirm/dispute their reviews.  I ignored Discount Tire because I didn't know anything about them, but I'll take another look - I need wheels, too.

The TireRack is good, because they have ratings listed on all of their tires. They do some pretty amazing testing themselves, plus they have a lot of readers comments, which are a lot less useful, but if you read enough of them, you can find a pattern. Figure out what you want in a tire (All Season, Performance All Season, Summer only, etc), and then we can narrow it down from there.

Don't know if this link will work, but the Yokohama Avid ENVigor seems to do well with both readers and their own tests. Take a peak.

Consumer Reports' ultra high performance summer and all season tire ratings. Checkmarks for the recommended ones.

The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus are the only ones with really good tread life, pricey though.
