« on: June 22, 2011, 04:48:18 pm »
This seems more of self indulgent toy rather than a daily driver. who knows...Might appeal to MX5 or Solstice drivers perhaps...

As a "brick pilot" from the '60s I think I'd rather have the regular JCW Mini not the coupe nor the countryman and especially not a convertible.   To be honest I'd rather have the pre face-lifted one but with the newer engine.   One man's meat is another man's poison.

Ajay. Minis right from 1958 onwards are SUPPOSED to be gocarty... other wise they would just be small Buicks.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

As an MX-5 driver it doesn't do a thing for me. It's probably still a front driver too. There's nothing wrong with go cart handling though. Come to think of it ,if it's a coupe it's not a roadster so why would it appeal to a solstice or miata owner. ???

It is perhaps the most hideously ugly design I have seen since the Juke debut.

Well my wife and I finally saw one of these cars the other day.  Her first comment was: "What happened to it's roof?"
I told her that it is supposed to look that way.
Her response: "My god it's ugly!"
And I agree.
I don't give a damn what's under the hood or whatever high tech suspension it has, it is still butt ugly.
If god didn't want us to eat baby animals, he wouldn't have made them so tastey.

Futtbucking ugly and unreliable.

What more do you want as a turn off?
