Does the APR work like the Cobb AP where you can flash back to stock at any point? and store and save any number of maps?
You can just go back to stock using the cruise control switch  but I believe you can have a max of 4 maps ( may be out of date on this)
stock, chipped 91 octane, chipped 93 octane and valet(teenager) mode.

Still the same yes. When I did my car they had a sale, 4 programs + security lock was $700 tax in.

Can the dealer figure out the mapping has been toyed with? They could when I APR'd my old Passat.

They certainly can, but they really have to look into it.

If you put it in stock mode before leaving your house, and lock in the software, when you reach the dealership, boost, A/F ratio etc will be normal, so they won't suspect anything.

LOL! Definitely a bunch of car nutz here, however the only kind of chip that will be in that vehicle will be salt & vinegar with the occasional sour cream & onion.

Took in the GTI for an oil change today (and a CEL  ;D). Forgot to set it to stock mode... curious to see how this will pan out.

As a follow-up it went good. CEL was for a broken intake modulator (?), which was replaced. The technician went for a spin too, and didn't say a thing about the extra torque ;D.

So yeah, I would say a stage 1 is pretty safe for your warranty... Just saying you know  :stick:

Does that mean you need more  :-X
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.

For a FWD car I think it's enough, steering it sometimes becomes a problem.

Plus the GF thinks I spend too much money on my boy toys. :)

They moved our delivery date up to August 22 week.  Almost a whole month sooner.
