Compressor clutch on Saturn Ion 2

My son in laws 2007 Saturn Ion 2 with 2.2 engine needs to have the air conditioners compressor clutch changed.The compressor has been checked and is fine.GM has been terrible at supplying info on Parts and I have found on-line parts for the compressor clutch but I was wondering if the same part from a Cobalt 2007 2.2 would be interchangeable as the price listed is half as much? Can anybody with mechanic experience  confirm this ? thanks

Your best bet would be to check with a GM parts department to find out if they are compatible. I thought on the ION the compressor is serviced as a unit, but I could be mistaken.
