So we go from having oil cartels control energy...to nerds.  Not sure this is the best idea.....I can see it now "We've had to raise the price of Cambridge Crude because we've had a shortage of students this year" or "The lithium is in short supply this season, so we'll have to raise the price to make up for the shortcoming"

This is not the answer...IMO...
