rrocket would heed to read these owner reviews, there is useful advice to be found from these owners .
his loss if he doesn't .

Most consumers don't know how to put in wiper fluid, let alone match up with my automotive skills.

I can put in wiper fluid, but I am no match for your automotive skills. After seeing the car you bought and the German engineering, you are no doubt an auto enthusiast to the nth degree.

Enjoy your new ride

Definitely my favourite version of the TT.  The new generation got away a bit too much from the circle motif design language of the original IMHO.  It'll be a class someday, even if it *is* a winter "beater".  I can't imagine anyone treating their winter car better than you.  Sounds like a teardown worthy of a NASCAR or F1 team.

You've got progressive springs so its the 40 series that will keep the ride that way .
You've taken a big jump away from Lexus/Toyota reliability . Best of luck with it Ron .

No, it's the coil-overs.  The last 3 cars I've had have had 40 series rubber (Supra has 35 series) and all ride better than the TT.  It's the suspension set-up.
Yeah.  The coil-overs and adjustable perches and the 40-series tires on my CRX make it handle as if it's on rails but it also rides like it's on rails if you get my drift. (LOL.  No joke intended, it's FWD after all!).  Funny thing is, though it rides very stiffly it's also compliant in that I don't hit my bump stops...probably because the Progressive springs I have are ---you know --- progressive, and also well matched with the Koni dampers.  Not that I'm comparing my CRX Si with the TT...different animals to be sure but the spring/damper setup sure transforms the beast.  Sounds like FUN!  Mine's a summer car and yours is a winter car so they'll never get a chance to hang out together.

Congratulations man! I have always liked the look of these things. I'm surprised as hell that you bought one though! I'm sure it'll be a blast.  :skid:

Your welcome, but there was one error in my statement.

This statement : After seeing the car you bought and the German engineering, you are no doubt an auto enthusiast to the nth degree.

Should have read: After seeing the car you bought and getting around the quirky German engineering, you are no doubt an auto enthusiast to the nth degreee

Indeed.  The left-to-right spacing of the throws is VERY close now.  You'll have to be careful you don't do a 3rd to second shift...

... is the TT's gear box made of glass, like some Japanese models?

No...it's pretty robust.  Oil pan is made of glass though.....

Took the TT Ron edition for a nice spin yesterday. It's a busy weekend but I'll try and post a full review tomorrow.

Screw the review - we already know about the car.  ::)  The big question is did you buy it? That's what matters. :rofl2:

No point of a review. This thing was a bucket of bolts and only a moron would buy it from Rrocket.  :P

....seriously you're getting a VERY nicely and tastefully modded example.
