Pollen Season
« on: June 01, 2011, 08:28:36 pm »
For those that hate pollen on your car as much as I do, I figured I would recommend a fantastic quick detailer that will allow you to wipe off the pollen and reduce how much actually sticks to your paint.  It's Chemical Guys Extreme Slick Synthetic and it's the best QD I've used yet.  It provides a VERY wet look to your paint and with it's anti-static characteristics, it will greatly reduce the amount of airborn particles sticking to your paint.  I would highly recommend this QD and it's available at eshine.ca

You are the very first person that I've come across on several car forums that thinks eshine's customer service is poor.  Personally, I've found their service to be nothing but top notch......and so has everyone else that I've come across.  Call them and talk to Chris, he'll answer whatever questions you have.

Don't see why he can't answer my e-mails.  If he's unable to answer e-mails, maybe he shouldn't provide an e-mail address for questions.  The last e-mail I sent was May 21....still waiting for a reply.  On the other hand, AutoGeek answers my e-mail questions within hours...

Or he should answer his e-mails in a timely manner...I suspect that's easier.  My issue is..in the past, he's accepted my online orders (and loads of money) no problem.  When I have money to spend, he's Johnny On The Spot.  But a question?  Nothing...no answer, zilch, nada.

Canadian businesses don't seem to "get it" when it comes to customer service, especially online.

I don't know what to tell ya man, perhaps you should call them and complain if you think their service is that bad.  Here's a thread from autopia, and the responses mirror my personal experiences with them.  http://www.autopia.org/forum/canada/110294-best-place-canadians-buy-detailing-supplies-online.html

Anyways, I just wanted to pass along a recommendation for a QD to reduce pollen, nothing more.

Understood.  I had heard positive things about some of the Chemical Guys products...I think I'll order some of this up when my current QD runs out.

As I said...I always receive my orders promptly from them when I use them.  But they plain old suck for responding to e-mail questions.  I don't feel I should have to pick up the phone to call in a question when they have a link specifically on the web-page for questions.

Interesting, never heard of it.

I personally find a car wash to be easier, but that's just me.

yes and not too often.   Not good to spoil a car. :D

Re: e-mails, etc - Pick up the phone and call them - it will save both you and them time.

You have to understand that although many companies (including eshine) try to be as efficient and prompt with respect to returning e-mails, during the busier times of year it does get difficult to return ALL e-mails instantly. As a solution, try calling in your requests or questions instead to speed things along.

I can speak from experience on this one as we are rarely able to return ALL e-mails to clients within the same day as soon as we hit our peak times during the year despite our best efforts to do so.
