On the subject of gas...and I mean taxes through gas sales, what are bicycles doing on my roads that my gas tax pays for for...and driving without a plate and insurance?

Plates aren't a bad idea, but then the legalities involved in licensing 'bicycles' would not really be conducive to getting people to ride bikes. The more people ride bikes the more the government saves money because cars (theoretically) are coming off the road. Then they could use 'your' money for more productive things than paving over farmland so you can drive a car 5 blocks to get a carton of milk.
