I have owned the Hankook V12s on my M3 last summer. They were quiet and nice in the wet but the sidewall is very soft. At the track (BMW driving schools), turn in was not as good as the PS2 and overall traction was a step down. However, as a "value" performance tire they were nice. By the end of the summer I regretted getting them because they were a noticeable step down from the PS2 in my view from a pure performance perspective.
This summer I have the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (the replacement for the PS2) and they are better than the PS2 and a significant step up from the Hankooks in all respects. They are quiet and comfortable (more so than the PS2), have great turn in and responsiveness, amazing wet capability and the best dry traction of any tire I have owned outside of a dedicated track tire. If price isn't the issue, this is the tire to get for a performance vehicle especially if you intend to take it to the track occasionally.
P.S. I also can say that I did like the Hankooks more than the Nitto Invo you are coming from. The Nittos were my least favourite performance tire of those I have owned. Here is the ordering of high performance tires I have owned on my various cars in order from least favourite to best... Nitto Invo, Hankook V12, Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Pole Position, Michelin PS2, Michelin PSS (by a mile).
EDIT... just reread your post and you noted that performance isn't a huge factor for you... in that case, definitely the Hankooks as they are decent performance but quiet and comfortable.
