Test drove the new Sportage today while I had some time to kill.  It was the fully loaded model with the backup camera and the like.  Nice ride.

Kia's really keeping on top of things with these types of enhancements and packaging changes. Kudos to them.

Thanks. I spoke to a dealer a couple of days ago and it made me wonder if they are really so ignorant about the very cars they sell or are they expecting all their customers to be as dumb. I was repeatedly told there are no changes from MY2011. Maybe the new DI engine doesn't count...  >:(
Seems to be a norm among too many dealers I spoke to start with a lie and then get upset when called on it.

I've found that in pretty much all dealerships. I often know more about the car and the future plans for it than the sales people. The only two sales people who impressed me were, no so coincidentally, the only two that I or a family member has bought from.

Such people are rare in car sales. It seems to me the dealers prefer to employ BS-ing and pushy deal closers and don't care if they are car ppl or have any product knowledge.  :(  We need to share good car buying experiences and recommend ppl who are pleasant to work with. I don't think they will mind if their first/ last name is mentioned on a forum.
