my SUV CX-7 ; Year 2007
« on: May 01, 2011, 06:10:14 pm »
I have been hearing a rattling noise and knocking sound in the engine of my Mazda SUV CX-7. (2007).Is this a common issue and problem of this Model? Yet a regular change oil is being done always and correct oil specsification i.e (viscosity) 5W-30 is being used at the dealer and sometimes at Canadian Tire. In fact I brought to the Mazde Dealer where I bought if from, and complaining this specific noise. Nothing has been done about it . even prior to reach 100,000.00 kilometers. I would really like to have any idea and good advice what should i do. I hope it would not cost me a fortune to have this fixed. I appreciate your opinion and any help please. Thank you much in advance.

I consider maintenance work done at CT in itself as a source of rattle and noise

That is a warranty issue, should contact an other dealer's service department.

WHy type of gas do you use in the CX-7? Regular / supreme?

Well, he seems to say his car has reached 100k, so he's likely out of warranty at this point.

I'm willing to bet he has been using regular fuel and now the engine is protesting! :rofl2:

Weren't they turbocharged ? I would think they would require premium fuel for this reason.
