Pot Smoking and Driving
« on: April 25, 2011, 05:08:24 pm »
Something I've kept wanting to comment on is the number of cars that pass me where I smell a very strong smell of pot through their open windows as they pass.  I noticed this last biking season too.  This afternoon I'm out for a short ride, about 20 km of mostly rural roads and paths and on the home 5 km stretch 2 of the approximately 20 cars that pass me are smoking up.  Could be the passenger, too, but I didn't have a close look.  Is there a pot convention in the south part of Ottawa and I missed the invite?

Scary.

I have noticed that sometimes some of the dank, awful US cigarettes smell close to pot.

And yes....I know what pot smells like.

You should try living here in grow-op central - you only notice when there's no pot smell in the air. Toking and driving are normal here. The local fuzz are apparently planning a crack-down which should prove interesting since more than a few of them are pot-heads themselves.

I'll be in Kelowna in two weeks....thanks for the heads up  :rofl2:

Seriously though, Windsor was the same....at least in the west end by the University.  Pot smoking and driving was a past-time it seemed.
