http://www.autocatch.com/uid/556026I really like this generation of Passat, this thing is a minefield of repairs. Right?
I came close to getting a W8 wagon with 6 speed in 2005 I think. I bailed at the last minute. The next year I grabbed a V70R and didn't look back. If you got a performance wagon itch to scratch then my advice would be to find a nice V70R.
It makes me nervous that they include a photo of the Onstar button. As if to say, "You'll become familiar with this."
Tomorrow they will proceed with installing a new enginefor $13,500.00 to bring the grand total for 4 year ownershipto $35,100.00.http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthread.php?3722624-W8-cam-adjusters/page2
That's what I thought. It's too bad, really. When it was running I bet it would be a rather nice drive.
Essentially your dealing with a used Audi. Those cars used are the biggest POS in the entire world. If you've got the $$$ then these cars are great under bumper to bumper warranty. After that
Essentially your dealing with a used Audi. Those cars used are the biggest POS in the entire world.I pulled a one owner (I thought mint) 99 Passat 1.8 trade off the lot and thought I'd do a quick flip privately. Lesson learned. Each one of those pieces (control arms) seperately is a couple of hundred bucks (10). They all wear out at the same time. If you've got the $$$ then these cars are great under bumper to bumper warranty. After that http://www.blauparts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=M1A1101%2D01%2DC
