Quote from: Firm on April 13, 2014, 09:58:43 pmI also like the looks of the Evoke. Haven't had a chance to drive one yet, but I'd like too. Could make a nice commuter when they're a little older and more affordable on the used market. What makes this a nice commuter? Isn't this a weekend warrior thing, off-roading. Not impressed with an Ecoboost 2.0L in it. Sure it's got some pep. But the X3 with the inline six, and 300hp, gets similar fuel economy, and in base form, only $2-3k difference.

Maybe my view is a little skewed, but I am thinking: reasonably small, easy to maneuver in the city, capable in winter, decent fuel mileage, it should be pretty comfortable inside and it looks good enough that I wouldn't be embarassed driving it everday.

Seems a little over the top for GTA winters, even the one we just had...But personal preference I guess
Pagani Huayra. http://storage.pagani.com/view/1024/O8C4595m01_CUT-1.jpgIf I ever have a moment of genius that leads to massive cash flow, I will get one of these. The interior of this car is sublime to behold.http://storage.pagani.com/view/1024/pagani_Huayra_interiors-1.jpg
I'd still take a Zonda R (with the carbon fiber exterior) over the Huayra. http://www.pagani.com/zonda/zonda_R/default.aspxBut really these cars are looney tunes for an average joe driver like myself. Even with powerball levels of money, I can't imagine buying anything more hardcore than a 911 GT3 for a sportscar. And that's still way more car than I could really push.
Outfitted only in a Soul Red Mica, the depth of this deep red creates a striking contrast against the Brilliant Black A-pillars, windshield surround, outside mirrors and Power-Retractable Hard Top (PRHT). Other unique exterior elements include black front combination lamp bezels and 17-inch Dark Gunmetal 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, which are wrapped in grippy Bridgestone Potenza RE05A 205/45R17-84W tires. The interior opens up brightly with its standard Almond leather seats and door trim. A satin chrome finish is used on the louver rings, gauge cluster meter rings and inner door handles. Brilliant Black appears again in the seatback garnish with Piano Black commanding the steering wheel spokes. Genuine black leather wraps the steering wheel, parking brake lever, armrests and manual transmission shift lever booth.
You'll all likely think I am nuts....But the last few weeks I've been seeing a triple white 1998 Firebird convertible driving around the neighbourhood near my office. Older guy driving it. Car is thrashed, but not beyond repair and with a bit of love and care would make a very nice summer car for the wifey.Today I finally caught it parked on a side street, so I left a big note on the windsheild asking the owner to call me he'd consider selling....He probably won't, but you never know.Looks like this...but with a white top and interior:
This is one sweetly proportioned car, I dare say.
