^ It's funny you mention that, when I went shopping for the focus I seriously considered a Caravan :P
In the end my desire for a manual transmission won out, but the Caravan (particularly Canada Value Package) offers incredible value

The Canada Value pack is an insanely good deal - I've certainly been tempted!

Actually, it's been the TRD Pro the last couple days.  I emailed Toyota Canada to see if/when this is coming to Canada, and their response was that they don't have any information on 2015 Tundras at this time.  Really??? Aren't 2015 Tundras on the lots already?

Would love to get one of those but it doesn't fit my needs right now unfortunately.

That's no excuse. That car doesn't fit ANYONE'S "needs". :P

Some 29 year old guys with disposable income are single and living the high life.

Then there is THIS 29 year old guy with a pregnant wife and a house in the burbs. :P

Congrats! So have you been obsessing about a Dodge Caravan CVP?  :rofl2:

Nothing wrong with minivans.  http://carbuying.jalopnik.com/parents-just-buy-the-damn-minivan-1597502940/+travis

I'm childless and unmarried and I can honestly say I'm smitten with the Caravan. My girlfriend sometimes borrows a nice black one (with stow-and-go seats FTW!) from her work - we've taken it on a bunch of road trips and that thing is darned comfortable, has good power with the Pentastar and not surprisingly is the ultimate roadtrip-mobile.

GF actually hates that I like it as much as I do. Her: "Hey let's go camping this weekend." me: "Only if we can borrow the Stow-and-Go." Her: "I'll check but please stop calling it that."  ;D

And here's another van-appreciation article. http://www.surfermag.com/blogs/rob-gilley/ode-to-the-man-van/

That's because all men who are smitten with the Caravan are childless and unmarried.

Sorry man, I'm just messing with you.

C'mon BC, you know better - when has a MNFR EVER given a good response to a legitimate and rational e-mail question?  I'm pretty sure the people they have in their customer service department have zero to minimal knowledge of the products they sell.  Especially when it comes to future product offerings, they don't/won't/can't divulge anything.

When I e-mailed Mazda Canada to ask why the Mazda 5 had "towing not recommended", when the comparable UK model has a 3000 lb + tow rating, I got the electronic version of a blank stare, with a little drool in the corner of the mouth...

I've found the only semi-reliable way to get future product info, or technical info, from a car manufacturer is off this forum.  Either through Force (for Hyundai), one of our dealer employee posters, or through the journos who have the real company contacts. So keep up the good work, peeps!

:rofl2: well played, sir. Hey whatever man, I'll be laughing all the way to my 3rd row's captain chair (with sweet separate stereo and climate controls)  :P

I'll only add this, and apologies for over-sharing; it only takes one roadtrip with your burlesque dancer girlfriend to appreciate the inherent radness of the minivan and, specifically, Stow-and-Go seats. Just sayin.

Alright, since I derailed this thread with crudeness, I'll bring it back - here's a photo of a nice Fast Beetle:

I'd rather have one of these :

Citroen DS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_DS

Smitten since my first drive in one in 1986

More great pics here: http://latestcomputerss.blogspot.ca/2011/02/citroen-ds-cars-wallpapers-and.html

These cars look great in real life, pictures just don't do it justice.

Same for me!  One of my all time favorites.  In fact I posted that same photo on here sometime last year.  The movie Barney's Version (filmed in Quebec) had a gorgeous DS that Barney drove throughout the movie.  It's worth watching if just for the car.  :)

Now Jongenx's propaganda is really getting to me... I REALLY WANT A MIATA NOW.... next year if the cards align and I work in Seattle for 4 months, I'll buy a miata and drive it back to NB. It has been decided.

What is FGC?

By the way, I drove a friend's 135 a couple of days ago.  It had mods to get power to 500 hp.  Felt like it had limitless power.  I probably used 1/3rd at most.

I can't deny that's a gorgeous car. I'm just pretty low-key by nature and I don't think I could ever pull off a red car - but if you can, all the power to you 8)
