Found this on a ZZR600 forum. Confirms what you felt. Lower the forks in the triple clamps or have it done asap.

I have pretty good eyes for an old fart! ;D

"As for geometry, I've said it recently in about 5 threads now, but i'll say it again in this one anyway  I have my fork tubes raised 8mm in my tripple clamps... Doing this mod lowers the front end (same effect as raising the rear) and makes the bike more flickable and it falls into the turns better... but it does so at the cost of stability. 5-7mm is plenty for the novice street/trackday rider. Any more than that and you'll be flirting w/ tankslappers."

Here are some suggested suspension settings, including an '06ZZR

They're pretty close IMO.  Used them on my ZX9R as a baseline.
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

Many thanks for the links.. I don't think I would be able to get comfortable with the bike the way it's setup now.

It's an 06 with close to 6000kms on it now :)

Terrific find!

1000 kms per year? What do these owners do, ride to Tim Horton's and kick tires?
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

There are tons of "just like new" bikes  out there that someone has only just broken in.... like my better half's dual-sport Suzuki.

I wish, kinda.
It's more off road-ish, a DR200SE. Great bike to learn on if  you've never ridden a bike and have some off-roading nearby.
