Its only a Corvette, relax.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

His time?  Zero to Fail in about 3 seconds!!

I was thinking it would be a crash DOWN the track, not at the lights.

Just another guy who bought a car that is too much for him.....having your wheels turned right while doing the burnout stage doesn't help.

At least he took is car to the track.....give the guy that.

That answer my question. Why is that barricade there?
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.

The barricade is there to protect the starting line crew from drivers like that.

Yeah, however, someone should point to him where the water box is for doing burnouts.....and that he is driving on street tires  :D  I mean, he started in the water box...then rolled out?

Fair do's.  Although at least he didn't do it on a proper track...

I must be getting soft.  Instead of laughing at the poor chump, I just feel really bad for him.  What a sh!tty day that must've been.  The humiliation in front of the large crowd is truly the insult to the damage to the car injury.

Reminds me of this classic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJrrIOJ5lCM

I too feel bad for him, things happen quickly.

A bunch of friends from work went drag racing bikes one evening.  My buddy does his first ever run on his Hayabusa, starting with about a 150' wheelie.  When he returns we're all calling him a show-off and a squid.  Turns out he was just literally trying to hang on and had never tried to wheelie, in fact didn't think his 'busa could wheelie, and was really hoping the front end would come down soon.  Nearly pooped his pants, but it looked good.

Now this is a Corvette crashing  :o  It is a miracle he walked away.  230MPH crashes don't come along everyday.

The stability system on the Vette is among the best on the planet - no joke.

The MotorTrend test of the ZR1 v 911 Tubro had Justin Bell echo Vman's comments.  Justin said it's the only stability system that he has run across that can improve his lap times (Competition Mode IIRC).

It's pretty good for sure.  At auto-x though I was 2-3 seconds faster with it off.

Yup...I mentioned that when I drove my buddies Z06.  Was the best traction control I had used....
