2012 Mazda 5
« on: March 19, 2011, 06:39:56 pm »
Picked up a new Mazda5 last week.  GS w/convenience package, auto (it's my wife's car).  Easiest deal I ever made other than finding out there was a $0 accident claim against our CX-9 that happened 2 months before we bought it while it was registered to Orangeville Mazda.  After the tax savings we got about $7000 less than what we paid for it 2 years ago!

Really nice to see an average fuel consumption under 10L compared to the 14.7 or so the big beast was getting!

Congrats on the new car.  What made you choose this one and what others did you consider?

Thanks!  We loved the CX-9, it was just more car than what we needed at this stage in our lives.  My wife still wanted > 5 seats and something fun to drive that was good on gas and about 20K.  That left one vehicle since the C-Max and Orlando aren't out yet.  Our biggest debate was finding a used one and paying cash or getting a new one.  Decided to keep our money for renovations and vacations this year.

Congratulations. Very nice car. We came close to buying one instead of the Outback.
