Congrats! looks good.

Hope you got the $500 manufacturer's coupon I just got e-mailed! Although they only sent it to current Hyundai owners and associated slappies.  :rofl2:

That navi system really makes the interior look much nicer than the std one, looks awesome.

Thanks guys.  I think I got lucky with the rainy overcast day because the blue actually showed through.  It can look near black in some lighting.

rrocket - with that long Hyundai warranty, I'm likely to sell the car before modding the engine in any way.  Still, it will be interesting to see what mods become available.  There are a bunch of tuner types screaminging for mods on the Hyundai boards and they are starting to get results.

TG - yep - I got that you were kidding.

loudpedal - I generally go for a lighter tint because I find my nightvision for driving isn't what it used to be.

Mike - I've had the impression for a while that there are a bunch of us forumites in Oakville.  When TopGun gets his 'Stang, we'll have to do a meetup.  :)

Erik and Sir O - thanks for your comments.

Turbo Bob - no coupon.  But I purchased through carcostcanada and got a healthy discount on top of the free money, so I am really not complaining.  I got spoiled with the Altima and now built in Navi is a must have.  The screen in the Sonata is about the same size, though with much sharper resolution.  But the one in the Elantra is even larger and nicer - go figure.

ktm535 - I have moved to the view that measured interior dimensions CAN be misleading.  I find the Sonata has more rear legroom than the numbers suggest and a bit less rear headroom.

Congratulations Jaeger!  Great choice and it's a real beauty!!  Too bad I didn't live closer, I'd give you a free new car prep!  :)

On a side note, the Navi screen layout looks very similar to my G.

In the family sedan category, the Sonata is not only the best looking, but the best value.  This is why I see tons of them now.
No place I'd rather be...

I also love the colour.  Darker colours are classier and better on Sonata IMO.
It turns out Acura is dropping dark blue in TL SHAWD Elite--can't believe Honda so stupid.
Congratulations!

Absolutely beautiful Sonata Turbo! Love the colour, wheels, tint, interior - it all!

What % of tint is that, and does it have a bit of a blue hue or is that just what my mind is filling in from the photo (on a blue car with water background). And what brand/type? I would like something similar for my car, so curious.

Know you did a lot of shopping, so cheers to happy ownership!

Thanks gents.  Yeah, I'm pretty tickled with the colour - I'm surprised I don't see it more often.  I've only seen one "in the wild" ever - and I've had my eyes open for a while.  I also think the darker colours suit this car better, which is just as well since my last two cars were both silver and I was ready for a change.  But the buying public seems to disagree as ever second Sonata I see is white.

Canuck - that's a very kind offer - wish I could take you up on it!  Feel free to recommend products for my DIY new car prep.  As soon as the weather gets to double-digits I'll be wanting to get a coat of wax / sealant on it.  I'm assuming the dealer waxed it as part of their delivery prep, 'cause the water beads real tight.

SirA - tint is 35% - no blue added.  :)  Not sure what brand the dealer used.
