I suspect this will come as something less than a shock, but I finall pulled the trigger on a turbo Sonata.
I had been looking for a replacement for my Altima 3.5SE and basically drove everything both at as well as slightly above and below that kind of price point in what proved to be a pretty exhaustive but entertaining search.
In the end, it came down to the Sonata versus the Passat CC. The two aren't really comparably priced - a base CC and a loaded-to-the-gills Sonata command roughly the same price, but comparably equipped, they are several thousand apart. Still, the CC was very much in the running. Right up until I got the call from the Hyundai dealer that they had in stock the hard-to-get granite blue model that was my first choice - AND that they were offering 0% financing on the Sonata for the month of March. Free money is hard to pass up, and this effectively made the Sonata and even better bargain than it already was.
Mine is the top shelf Limited with Nav model in an attractive (to my eye) Granite Blue.
What follows is much show, but not much shine. If you're in southern Ontario, you know it was raining all day. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics. After I've had the car a while I'll give some feedback - though I test drove this model so many times it already feels like an old friend.
Cheers,
Jaeger
