Chevy Volt/Nissan Leaf sales

Really low numbers....I wonder if this is a case of no supply or if when it comes time to actually write the cheque people are still hesitant about this technology?

Through work, I have been talking to a few of the companies responsible for setting up the infrastructure ie charging stations, etc. for the electric cars. Their off the record feeling is that the pure electrics are a decade away from being viable. They just view them as toys right now.

I know Nissan was REALLY slow will their roll-out and GM is limited to certain markets, so I don't think we can get an accurate picture of how either of these are going to sell yet.  I don't think either is going to sell a ton anyways.

GM was expecting what....25,000+ per year IIRC?  Was it more??

What was Nissan expecting to sell??

How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

The 'good' news is they are selling so few because of the supply issues, not lack of demand. GM dealers put huge markups on the Volt and Nissan say something bogus about them wanting to take it slow. In the Leaf's case I suspect their goal is first to fill JDM market. Anyone have global sales numbers for both cars?
