Winter Tire Question
« on: January 30, 2011, 12:31:46 pm »
Just purchased a 04 Suzuki Swift with snow tires on regular rims not winter rims. Would it be okay to leave them this way for the rest of the winter or do winter rims need to be installed. Thanks for any advice and help.

No such thing as "winter" rims. Many people choose to have their snow tires mounted on dedicated rims. These can be steel rims, aftermarket alloy rims, factory alloy rims[using aftermarket alloys in the summer].

Most people run steel rims in winter, they are cheaper and salt does damage all rims.
