I have an ‘06 Civic with 78000km… I just had both strut assemblies replaced & a four wheel alignment, the rubber within the strut dried up when cold an made all sorts of awful noises.  Anyway… my steering seems a bit off, I have to hold the wheel just a bit to the left… seems to be fine driving in the middle lane of a three lain roadway, but its really noticeable in the right lane, as well as in town… it just doesn’t feel the same.
I called the dealer… he said to give it a week or so, sometimes when replacing the whole strut assembly (not just the strut) it needs to “settle”.   Does this seem probable? Anyone hear about a alignment needing to settle?

An alignment doesn't need to settle, although the struts may have to a little bit.  Did they dial it assuming they would settle?  I guess it's possible but probably not probable.

It's the springs that need to settle.   Dealer is correct.

Thanks for your response.
Does this mean I may need another alignment once they settle?
