I'm not quite sure what type of info you are looking for, but here's a bit that really stirs up a few people.
A number of 1800 Gold Wing riders have installed car tires on the rear of their bikes.
Why?  They say it's to get longer life out of the tire.  Most guys are getting 18,000 to 24,000 km out of their rear radial.  They say that the CT gives them double or triple that.
I just shake my head when it comes to this subject.  Of course, they all say they would never go back to a M/C tire, but then I doubt if any of them would admit to a crash possibly caused by the CT.
Apparently the Darwin Awards haven't caught up to them yet.

The design of the tires in question, the professionals that design these tires, the potential hazards, or lack of, has been discussed ad nauseum on a number of sites, at times getting downright hostile.
Some guys even trash M/C dealers that won't mount a CT for them, no doubt due to liability issues.

I'll stick with the tire that has rounded edges, in an effort to wear off the chicken strips. ;D
If god didn't want us to eat baby animals, he wouldn't have made them so tastey.

There are a few companies that make winter tires for motorcycles.  The only one I remember off the top of my head is Heidenau.
