AutoPartsWAY.ca New Site
« on: January 10, 2011, 05:17:09 pm »
What do you guys think of the Autopartsway.ca new website design?  Personally I like it a lot.  I especially like that it saves my past shopped for vehicles, for easy access.

Meaning what?

Meaning since you're new and one of your first posts is essentially an advertisement for AutoPartsway...he thinks you're spamming.

How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

I didn't post it for no reason. The majority of your 5 posts mentioned how great they are. Ergo.... QED. *shrug*

So what's the rules here?  A new guy can't post anything about a company?  Or is it because I started a new thread?  Or is is just that this forum doens't like new users posting?

Great.  Thanks for the warm welcome to the forum.

It's not you per se.  It's that it has happened more times than we can count.  Do us a favor and make a thread introducing yourself to us and making introductions.  That would help out alot.

No, no.  We've had people sign up.  Then they start spamming right out of the gate..within a post of two.

Feel free to mention companies..but like I said before..maybe make a little introduction thread about yourself so we can get to know you.

Actually believe it or not, I posted my experience with this company a long time ago.  I was no looking for a coupon and decided to check past emails, maybe I have one from them.  The search brought me to emails form this forum, I guess my old posts or registration and replies, so I thought I would check it again, maybe someone posted a coupon.  I then noticed that the site looks different so asked about it.  At which point did I violate any of the rules?

Granted, I am not a big forum poster, and probably never will be.  Not just here, but any forums, but that doesn't mean that I don't read forums or use them for info from time to time, and just like on other forums, I like to be able to participate, even if it is not being a daily active member. But if that is not allowed here, that's fine.  I don't have to be a member of this forum.

Whoever is the administrator, please delete all my posts if you wish.

Like I said...it's happened in the past where someone with low post count is spamming for a company.  99.9% of the people who do that are spammers.  Sadly, because of that, when someone with a low post count talks about a company the way your post was, we automatically think "spammer".

It's not you..it's the spamming jerks who've done this in the past.  Stick around...you've made it clear you're no spammer.  We just need to get to know you.  Don't take it personally.

I understand.  I will stick around and promise not to mention any companies besides car makes for a long time.  If the administrator of the forum chooses to delete any of my posts that mention a company, I again understand and will not be offended.

No.  Don't misunderstand.  Feel free to mention ANY company.  We just (erroneously) thought you were a spammer.  It's clear you are not.

I am supprised no one is calling YOU a spammer.
heaven forbid posting a url on this site.

Well, this is your first real post that isn't a link to your own site.  We call a series of posts spread across threads with little more than a link to your own site spam.

No place I'd rather be...

I especially like that it saves my past shopped for vehicles, for easy access.

Is that all it does?

Pelican Parts lets me save a list of parts in a Project List for my car that I can place in folders; annual maintenance, periodic maintenance, ignition, etc.

Plus the parts are way cheaper than up here.  ;D
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

I know eh!!  We should celebrate!!!
in reply to the thread... AutoPartsWAY is a cool site and has a great design.

I see that the first thing one comes across on your site is an "Advertise on this site" banner.

Here is a dare. Do a video interview with major manufacturers and distributors in Canada on why cars, parts and accessories are so much cheaper in the US than up here. If it reveals the truth, see how many advertisers you'll get. The media industry far more often than not caters to advertising dollars, than to truthful informative reporting.

The subject line caught my eye because I just checked prices on that site.

But the funniest part was the "We ship to Canadian customers only" comment on their main page. I feel for those unlucky Americans not being able to shop there.  ::)

Unlucky, because they'd have to pay $341.80 for the same items I bought stateside for $161.28. With the dollar at par, I wonder where that extra $180.52 comes into play.
